Raelen Carstens
(tLMHC)
"My goal is to provide a non-judgmental space in which my clients feel safe, understood, and able to breathe a little easier. I believe therapy is most powerful when it feels like an honest, supportive relationship — one where you can laugh, cry, reflect, and grow without fear of criticism or contempt."

Raelen Carstens, t-LMHC, NCC, earned her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at University of Northern Iowa. She works with adolescents and young adults who are healing from trauma, navigating relationship ups and downs, or simply trying to feel more at home in themselves. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real connection — with a little lightness and humor sprinkled in, because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time.

Raelen draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered care, attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. In plain language: Raelen works together with each of her clients to explore what matters to them, make sense out of their experiences, and learn how to stay present and compassionate with themselves — even on the messy days (especially on the messy days).

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your relationships with self and others, heal old wounds, or reconnect with your values, Raelen is here to walk with you — one grounded, hopeful, occasionally playful step at a time.
